Blue Hole | Dwejra
One of Gozo’s most iconic dive sites, the Blue Hole features a natural rock pool leading to a dramatic underwater chimney. Divers emerge into the open sea through an archway at depth, surrounded by vertical walls, rock formations, and abundant marine life. Suitable for advanced beginners and experienced divers alike.
Inland Sea | Dwejra
A sheltered lagoon connected to the open sea by a long underwater tunnel, the Inland Sea offers a unique and atmospheric dive. The tunnel opens onto sheer walls and boulder slopes, with light filtering through to create striking underwater scenery. Ideal for divers seeking a memorable and scenic experience.
Wied il-Għasri
A narrow fjord-like inlet with towering cliffs, Wied il-Għasri is both dramatic above and below the waterline. The dive leads through a shallow channel into deeper waters, revealing caves, crevices, and schools of fish. Best enjoyed in calm conditions and suitable for intermediate divers.
Xlendi Bay
A popular and accessible dive site, Xlendi Bay offers gently sloping seabeds, small caves, and rocky outcrops. With good visibility and relatively calm conditions, it is ideal for training dives, relaxed explorations, and night dives, where octopus and cuttlefish are often spotted.
Cathedral Cave | Dwejra
Known for its vast internal chamber, Cathedral Cave impresses with its high ceiling and cathedral-like atmosphere. Divers enter through a wide opening and explore the spacious cavern, where natural light creates an almost ethereal effect. Best suited for experienced divers comfortable with overhead environments.
Karwela Wreck | Xatt l-Aħmar
The MV Karwela is one of Gozo’s most famous wreck dives, resting upright on a sandy seabed. Intentionally sunk, the wreck is easily penetrable and home to a variety of marine life. With excellent visibility and clear orientation, it appeals to both recreational and technical divers.
Cominoland | Between Gozo and Comino
Located in the channel between Gozo and Comino, this site features dramatic drop-offs, caves, and swim-throughs. Stronger currents can bring larger pelagic species, making each dive dynamic and unpredictable. Best suited for confident and experienced divers.
Xlendi Wreck (X127) | Off Xatt l-Aħmar
The former patrol boat X127 rests on a sandy seabed near the Karwela wreck, making the area a popular wreck-diving zone. Upright and compact, the wreck is ideal for exploration, photography, and marine life observation. Its accessible depth and clear layout make it suitable for a wide range of certified divers.
